Jaguar

Jaguar is a species of big cat which still exists now. It looks like leopard. But, they are different species. Physically, they are different. Jaguar is bigger and stronger than leopard. Its length is 1.6 – 1.8 metre and its weight can reach 160 Kg. Meanwhile leopard’s length is 91 – 1.9 metre and its weight can reach 90 Kg. The most typical characteristic of jaguar is the pattern of its fur. The colour of the fur is brown or gold with its black spot.

Jaguar is the only one Panther species which is found in America. They are the third biggest cats after tiger and lion. For additional information, jaguar is the symbol of Maya tribe Goddess. Jaguar plays important role in ancient mythology. Maya tribe believe that the sun can change to be jaguar in the evening. Therefore, there is a term that calls jaguar as the God of Underworld. The habitat of jaguar spreads from the south region of United States and Mexico. It spreads mostly in Middle and South America until Paraguay and North Argentina. Nevertheless, jaguar was already extinct since the early 20 century in United States.

Jaguar

Jaguar is a species of big cat which still exists now. It looks like leopard. But, they are different species. Physically, they are different. Jaguar is bigger and stronger than leopard. Its length is 1.6 – 1.8 metre and its weight can reach 160 Kg. Meanwhile leopard’s length is 91 – 1.9 metre and its weight can reach 90 Kg. The most typical characteristic of jaguar is the pattern of its fur. The colour of the fur is brown or gold with its black spot.

Jaguar is the only one Panther species which is found in America. They are the third biggest cats after tiger and lion. For additional information, jaguar is the symbol of Maya tribe Goddess. Jaguar plays important role in ancient mythology. Maya tribe believe that the sun can change to be jaguar in the evening. Therefore, there is a term that calls jaguar as the God of Underworld. The habitat of jaguar spreads from the south region of United States and Mexico. It spreads mostly in Middle and South America until Paraguay and North Argentina. Nevertheless, jaguar was already extinct since the early 20 century in United States.
